Come practice yoga with Satya Yoga Collective teacher Asia Dorsey.  

She is a proud graduate of Satya Yoga Immersion & Teacher Training for People of Color and the genius behind Five Points Fermentation Co. Asia is a body positive yoga enthusiast, radical dreamworker and a practitioner of herbal medicine as people’s medicine. 

She cultivates the seeds of collective creativity, fun and justice while emboldening radical self discovery. She facilitates classes and events that helps queer, fat and colored people feel at home in their bodies as they are wherever they are. She sees the goal of any practice as coming home to the divinity that lives inside of ourselves. Her style is patient, reflective and intentional.

Come practice Hatha yoga with Satya Yoga Collective teacher Aishah K. Muhammad.  

She has been creating one of a kind jewelry since the tender age of 10. At 16 she started a business called “Spiders and Bumble Bees” that produced much local acclaim. She is the co-owner of Jiridon Apothecaryand teaches community about the medicine that surrounds them in their everyday urban life. Born 10 of 12 artistic siblings, Aishah grew up heavily involved in crafts such as sewing, painting, and creating jewelry. She is fusing her love of stones with a healing practice that will give back to the community. Her goal is to create jewelry that is well beyond the realm of fashion. She hopes that through her jewelry she can also help those who suffer from anxiety, depression and other conditions that negatively affect the heart, mind and spirit

Aishah's class is gentle, nourishing, therapeutic and soulful.

Come practice yoga with Satya Yoga Collective teacher Natasha Chaoua at Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-Being. Natasha teaches Hatha and Ashtanga influenced yoga.

She is a mother of 3, wife, CNA and a graduate of Satya Yoga Collective’s 200hr POC Yoga Teacher Training Program. Natasha was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario to Jamaican parents who emigrated to Canada. She later lived in Buffalo, NY and Ithaca, NY before making Denver my home in 2009. Throughout that time she practiced several styles of yoga, however, Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga have predominantly been her practice since 2000.

Natasha's practice focuses heavily on the breath and finishes with meditation. It is an intense practice best for individuals who aren’t afraid of a challenge and who like structure during their practice all within an atmosphere of drum and bass.

POC Donation based yoga with Satya Yoga Collective teacher Maya McDowell at Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-Being.

Maya's classes are Inclusive, full of variations and all-levels (she particularly loves teaching yoga to beginners). By focusing on the breath as a catalyst for freedom of mind, body and spirit. Students are likely to accomplish more than they could before in Maya's energizing, yet serene classes.

Come practice Yin Yoga with Satya Yoga Collective teacher Sarah Naomi Jones at Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-Being.

Sarah has been practicing and teaching yoga since 2016. Her classes incorporate pranayama (intentional breathing) and focus on alignment with special attention to spinal integrity. Yoga “found” Sarah at a time when she was experiencing debilitating pain both physically and emotionally. Her yoga practice grounded her and gave her vitality. She believes in the power of yoga to change lives and has a desire to make the healing and liberating tools of yoga accessible to everyone.

Tuesdays in April: Breathe and Be: A 4 week Foundational Yoga Series with Sarah Naomi Jones @ Creative Strategies for Change

Join us for BREATHE and BE!  This is a 4 week yoga foundation series taught by people of color for people of color!   This series aims to provide a safe(r) space to unwind from life stresses, while teaching some basic fundamentals of yoga practice, and will include practical stress reduction tools each week.  Because each class in this series will build upon the previous ones in order to teach a fundamental yoga skill,  please be sure that you can commit to attending all 4 weeks before registering.

4 Tuesdays:  April 3, 10, 17, and 24, 6-7:15 pm
